I wanted to paint a rabbit to celebrate the 2023 Chinese New Year. The rabbit is the symbol of longevity, peace, and prosperity in Chinese Culture, and so I painted this image to be a symbol of hope and renewal. The bright, almost luminous rabbit becomes a reminder of fresh beginnings, shining through the dull Winter days.
