Octopot 2

£300.00

Hand-built ceramic sculpture, 2024

Playful octopus tentacles sweep around the vessel, intertwining with clusters of barnacles and delicate dots that bring rhythm and texture to the surface. Every angle reveals another unexpected detail, echoing the ever-changing nature of the sea.

The wide mouth of the vessel blooms open dramatically before flowing down into the rounded body, recalling the form of a ripe pomegranate. Its generous, bulbous shape contrasts with the subtle vertical stripes; traces left by the artist's hands as the clay was formed, preserving the physical process within the finished sculpture.

A glossy white glaze is animated by soft flecks of blue and turquoise that ripple across the surface, evoking seafoam, shifting tides, and the movement of ocean currents.

Dimensions: W 23cm × H 20cm × D 23cm

Part of the 'Octopots' series, a limited collection of hand-built ceramic sculptures, created in 2024.
