‘Seagull Sundae’ voted the People’s Choice winner at Art & Grind exhibition

I wanted to reflect on some wonderful news from earlier in the Summer- my painting ‘Seagull Sundae’ was voted the People’s Choice winner at the Colours of Summer exhibition at Art & Grind!

This recognition means so much to me because it comes directly from the people who visited the exhibition and connected with my work. Knowing that my painting resonated with you in such a way is both humbling and uplifting, and I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone who took the time to cast a vote. Your encouragement and support truly mean the world.

I’d also like to give a huge thank you to the brilliant team at Art & Grind, who have created a fantastic and well-loved artistic hub in Guildford in such a short amount of time. The Summer exhibition was such a vibrant and inspiring exhibition. Their passion and dedication created a space filled with creativity, colour, and community spirit, and it was an absolute joy to be part of it. I thoroughly advise taking a visit to them next time you are in Guildford- they have rolling exhibitions with varied artists so there’s always something new.

I love making art for many reasons (and that’s probably its’ own blog post!). Moments like these remind me why I paint: to share colour, energy, and emotion with others. I’m feeling incredibly grateful, inspired, and full of colour right now, and I can’t wait to carry that energy into my next work.

Thank you again for being part of this journey with me.
